Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update March 2, 2020

The City of Woodland, in coordination with the Yolo County Public Health Department, continues to closely track and monitor information regarding COVID-19 (the official name of the Novel Coronavirus). Immediate risk remains LOW to the general public in Yolo County. 

Recent Specifics for Yolo County:

  • As of March 1, 2020, there are NO confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Yolo County.
  • The result for the UC Davis student that was tested for COVID-19 came back negative on 2/29/20. This student and the other two UC Davis students under quarantine have been released. 
  • Yolo County has a dedicated information line for general public about COVID-19: (530) 666-8614 (Please try back if number is busy.)
  • Masks are not necessary for the general public. Masks are only recommended for health care professionals in direct contact with infected individuals.
  • Continue following public health precautions.

PUBLIC HEALTH PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT ANY RESPIRATORY VIRUS:

  • Avoid close contact with sick people
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay at home if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms
