    August 21, 2018, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Woodland Public Library

    Learn how to safely use the panel saw, drill press, band saw, scroll saw, disc sander, and belt sander in Square One! This one hour class will cover the basics of safe operation. Successful completion allows the patron to return to Square One during open shop hours to use this equipment. Participants must be 18 or older, bring a valid library card and ID, have a signed waiver on file, and wear close-toed shoes.

  2. Sewing BUS

    August 21, 2018, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    This course is an introduction to using the sewing machine stations and sewing tools in Square One. This course is not intended to be a sewing technique course. Students will learn the safe operation of sewing machines and basic sewing tools. Upon successful completion of this course students will be authorized to use the sewing machines and tools during open shop hours. Participants must be 12 or older, bring a valid library card and ID, have a signed waiver on file, and wear close-toed shoes.

    Chess players of all ages, from beginner to experienced, are invited to come practice their moves at this weekly event in the library's Leake Room. Children must attend with an adult.

  4. Sticks in the Stacks Library Knitting Group

    The Sticks in the Stacks Library Knitting Group meets in the small conference room in the Leake Center at the library every Tuesday evening. It is open to knitters of varying abilities and all ages.
