On 09-20-2012 at approx. 10:52 hrs. an Officer of the Woodland Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle on Pioneer Av. near Farnham Av. The vehicle failed to stop for the Officer and fled southbound on Pioneer Av. at speeds up to an estimated 80 miles per hour. The vehicle turned westbound on E. Gum Av. with the Officer pursuing it to East St.
Other Officers responded and located the vehicle after it collided with the curb at Fourth St. and Gum Av. The suspect and sole occupant of the vehicle fled on foot and was apprehended after a short chase.
The suspect, 30 year old Woodland resident Silverio Delgado Jr., was arrested on charges of felony evading arrest, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest. Delgado was booked in the Yolo Co. Jail.
