|On Thursday December 20, 2012 at 08:07 am Woodland Police Officers responded to Pioneer High School at 1400 Pioneer Avenue for a report of male on campus with a gun. While officers were en route to the campus, the school administration detained the male and reported that he was being cooperative. The school was placed in lock down while this incident was occurring. |
Upon arrival officers detained the subject and found that he was in possession of butterfly knife. Further investigation revealed that the subject was a 17 year old Woodland resident and that he was not a student of Pioneer High School. It was also learned that the subject never had firearm and did not attempt to assault any students or staff. The school remained in lock down for a total of seven minutes while police and school administration investigated this incident.
The subject was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon on school campus and was later booked at the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Center.
