|On the 4th of May 2013 at approximately 11:36 pm, Woodland Police Officers were dispatched to the former Casa De Sapore restaurant, 929 Court St, for a report of a stabbing which occurred to the rear of the now closed business. Upon arrival, officers found a 32 year old Woodland man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck area. |
Woodland Fire Department personnel and Paramedics responded and began treating the victim for multiple life threatening stab wounds. As emergency medical personnel were stabilizing the victim, a friend of the victim and witness stated that they were attacked by 2 Hispanic Male Adults.
The witness said he and the victim had set-up a camping site to the rear of the business when the 2 suspects approached them and began an altercation which led to the stabbing. The witness described the attackers as heavy-set and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. They were last seen westbound on Court St after the incident.
The victim was transported to UC Davis Medical Center where he was treated for multiple stab wounds. The victim remains in stable condition according to UC Davis Medical Center.
