|On the 18th of May at 9:00 pm Woodland Police Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 1711 Sixth St for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers were unable to find the victim but did speak with several witnesses to the incident. |
Witnessess reported seeing a white pick-up truck and small silver sedan pull along side the apartment complex. A Hispanic male got out of one of the vehicles and ran after the victim through the north parking lot entrance to 1737 Sixth St. The suspect then fired a single shot at the victim before fleeing in the silver passenger car.
According to witnesses in the apartment complex, the victim fled the area, and later called family confirming he had been shot at but not injured. No citizens in the apartment complex were injured as a result of the shooting either.
Members of the Yolo County Gang Task Force assisted Woodland Police Officers in the preliminary investigation. This case is still being investigated by Woodland Police Department and the Yolo County Gang Task Force.
