City Manager

The office of Woodland's City Manager is located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 300 First Street in downtown Woodland.

Mark Deven, City Manager

 

Mark Deven began his work as the City Manager for Woodland on August 1, 2007.   Mark's previous experience includes: 

  • Community Center Supervisor and Community Services Manager for the City of Lakewood
  • Recreation Superintendent for the City of Newport Beach
  • Recreation and Community Services Superintendent for the City of Anaheim
  • Director of Parks and Recreation and Assistant City Manager for the City of Concord

He has over 28 years of public service to date. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration. He has extensive direct oversight experience in all functional areas of City government.  In addition, Mark has experience in implementing  Policy, Leadership and Management Practices that will help Woodland to become a more effective and efficient local government organization.  These initiatives were presented to the City Council on December 11, 2007.

Mark and his wife Shelly reside in Woodland with two of their children.
