Community Services Department
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm
Woodland Community Services Department creates and enhances the quality of life for Woodland residents and visitors by providing a diverse array of programs, services, and recreational facilities. The department consists of four divisions including Senior Services, Parks & Urban Forestry, Community Services, and CDBG & Affordable Housing.
Our primary goal is to provide and maintain recreation facilities, parks, and programs that help make people's lives better and the community more healthy, livable, and enjoyable.
Woodland Community Services provides recreation programs to more than 50,000 Woodland residents annually. A variety of recreational opportunities are provided for residents of all ages, including aquatics, specialty camps, day camps, youth and adult enrichment programs, teen services, senior services, youth and adult sports, and the rental of community facilities, athletic fields, parks, and picnic areas. In addition, Community Services provides the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program, affordable housing programs, and coordinates the volunteer activities for the City (except for the Police Department and Library volunteer programs).
Community Services also provides oversight and maintenance of approximately 149 acres of developed parkland and 24 acres of other facilities, including the 13-acre Community & Senior Center and Sports Park.
