What the Community Services Department does

The Community Services Department (formerly the Parks & Recreation Department) provides the community with a variety of life-enriching programs; events; grant opportunities; recreation and senior programs; non-profit and community partner collaboration; and affordable housing needs. 

Rec Guide

Complete the registration form, be sure both side of are complete. Bring registration form to 2001 East Street (Woodland Community & Senior Center) Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Cash, Checks, Visa or Master Card Accepted Make checks payable to: City of Woodland.


Community Services Youth Committee

The CSD is developing a Community Services Youth Committee (CSYC), another Measure J funded program. Youth Committee will provide an introduction to the Community Services Department, recreation programing and local government, including the Parks & Recreation Commission and Woodland City Council. The Youth Committee provides a forum for the youth of Woodland to offer input on what types of activities and programs the City of Woodland should offer and an opportunity to implement those activities and programs. Youth who live in or go to school in Woodland and are between the ages of 15-20 are eligible to apply. Click for more information of how to apply for the CSYC.

Commit2Fit 30-Day Challenge

October 6, 2015 

The City of Woodland, along with several community partners, is launching its 2015 “November Commit2Fit (C2Fit)” 30-Day Fitness Challenge beginning November 1. C2Fit is a citywide fitness initiative aimed to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle. Anyone who lives, plays, or works in Woodland is welcome to participate.

To be eligible for the C2Fit raffle, participants must be registered for the C2Fit 30-Day Fitness Challenge; click to register for C2Fit.
