The Clapp and Jones steam fire engine has been in Woodland continuously since it was purchased from the city of San Francisco in 1875. Restored by members of the department in 1977, the "Steamer" has been a regular feature at city special events, and "musters" -- friendly competition between teams from many different fire departments where it has won many prizes. This photo was taken at a muster event in Redlands Ca. (VIDEO - Steamer in operation at a CFMA muster)
