Senior Center


The Senior Center staff has a new face, Kris Bain. 



The Senior Center is a new work project for Kris, who is a veteran Parks & Recreation employee.  Kris came to work for the City in 2001, overseeing the AQUATICS and Camp Packer Creek programs.   Some may remember her teaching some aqua aerobics at the City pools.  Additionally, Kris has helped with various projects and special events such as the “EGG”stravaganza Egg Hunt, and the annual 4th of July Celebration.

In 2008, Kris’ left aquatic programming to oversee the ADULT SPORTS program, including field reservations and athletic user groups, where many of her current duties remain, in addition to the newly added SENIORS.

While not at work, Kris spends her time with her husband Jason, and her two boys Riley (4) and Jacoby (1).  She also enjoys teaches aqua aerobics in Sacramento at California Family Fitness health club.

Kris is excited and anxious to work with to work in the Senior Center, so please stop by and say hello while you are here!

The Senior Center is a designated "Focal Point" for services for seniors including nutrition, recreation, transportation, education, arts and crafts, health screenings, support groups, and Information & Assistance.

The Woodland Senior Center strives to be the recognized access point for programs that encourage healthy aging, provide basic social services and offer socialization opportunities for older adults.
