This class utlilizes resistance bands to increase flexibility and strengthen muscle tone in a fun, supportive environment. All exercises are done from a seated position. Registration includes your own resistance band. This ongoing class is held in the Dance/Aerobic Studio of the Community & Senior Center.
Restorative Yoga & Meditation Thursdays; 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of each month 1:00 p.m. FREE A new class for senoirs to do basic & gentle yoga postures and stretching to help increase flexibility, strength, and balance. Breathing techniques are shown to create more enegry, and to help relieve stress and discomfort. Also, seniors are introduced to creative visualization to help calm the body and mind. Class is designed for students with limited range of motion and mobility. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel.
Low Impact Aerobics Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays 8:00 a.m. OR 10:00 a.m. $5 per month Registration taken at the Parks & Recreation desk
A basic, low-impact workout starting with a walking warm-up, followed by exercises performed standing. This class is designed to build strength (muscle, tendons and ligaments), increase flexibility, improve balance and coordination, enhance your health and lighten your mood. This ongoing class is held in the Dance/Aerobic Studio of the Community & Senior Center. Senior Water Aerobics Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. $25 for 10 visits Registration taken at the pool site or at the Parks & Recreation desk
Enjoy a great all-body workout in the water year-round. No swimming necessary. It's great for aging bodies with low or no impact to those aching joints. Program held at Community Swim Center (adjacent to Woodland HS).
