Storm Preparedness

Bags for sand are available to Woodland residents at the Municipal Service Center at 655 N. Pioneer during business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. Sand for filling bags is available to purchase at hardware stores/landscaping suppliers around town.

Residents are encouraged to take caution and plan for localized flooding, heavy rains and high winds. Here are some storm preparation tips:

  • Clear leaves from drains and gutters
  • Secure loose outdoor objects including decorations and patio furniture
  • Have supplies ready in case of extended power outages (food, batteries, blankets, etc)
  • Monitor updates to forecast
  • Postpone all non-essential driving until after the storm and do not drive through standing water

To report flooding, fallen trees/limbs and street hazards please contact the City of Woodland Public Works Department:

As the need arises for public access to sand filling stations three will be set-up around town: 1) at the corner of College and Court streets; 2) MSC, 655 N. Pioneer; 3) Community and Senior Center, 2001 East Street.
