The city’s 6th Annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour will be held on May 6th, 2017 in historic downtown Woodland. This year, the tour will take place during the California Honey Festival and highlight bee-friendly gardens. There will be two guided bike tours at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and one guided walking tour at 12:00 p.m. People are also welcome to tour the landscapes on their own between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Stop by the city’s Water Conservation booth near the Garden Stage (First & Main) to pick up a Landscape Tour Guidebook, sign up for a guided tour, and learn more about water-wise landscaping.
This will not be your average bike tour. The city is partnering with SacTown Social Bikes to use two of their 6-passenger conference bikes. Everyone pedals and sits ‘conference style’ in a circle, while the guide steers the way. Tour-goers 18 years and older are encouraged to take part.
