August 3, 2017
The City of Woodland residents have been invited to participate in the selection of a new play structure for Harris Park at a neighborhood meeting on Saturday, August 26, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harris Park. Residents will gather at the Imperial Street (east side) of the park.
All residents, adults and children, will have an opportunity to select the new play structure by casting their votes for one of three pre-selected play structure designs. The new play structure will replace an existing one that is approximately 20-years-old and designed for children ages 5 to 12. Miracle Play Systems will present three designs at Harris Park and each meeting participant will be asked to place a sticker on the design that best fits the community’s needs. At the conclusion of the neighborhood meeting, the design with the most votes will move forward. The voting will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served and families are encouraged to attend.
The new play structure is funded by a $149,125 Housing Related Park Program Grant awarded the City by the State of California in 2016.
