Tree Lighting

The Christmas season will kick off Friday, November 21st, with the annual Tree Lighting ceremony in Historic Woodland Downtown.

The celebration will begin with members of the Marines commemorating their service to the United States and light their own tree at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall on First Street.

The lighting of the living tree at Heritage Plaza, located at Second and Main streets, witll start at 6 p.m.  Music will be provided by Bayside Church and luminaries will line Main Street. Santa will be making an appearance, the Boy Scouts will provide roasted chestnuts and there will be free carriage rides.  Santa along with Mrs. Clause will be on hand too!

Most stores will be open for holiday shopping.
