Construction crews will begin pouring the concrete foundation for the 3-million gallon water storage tank located at David Douglass Park on Monday December 2, 2013. To ensure the 15,000 square foot monolithic pour can be completed in one day, crews will begin assembling onsite at 6:30 a.m. with the first concrete trucks scheduled to arrive at 7:00 a.m. Approximately four hundred yards of concrete will be placed and finished. The pour is expected to be completed during daylight hours, but crews may be onsite finishing the concrete until after dark. Concrete trucks have been routed off residential streets.
Once the foundation is finished and cured for seven days, crews will begin assembling forms for the vertical placement of wall sections.
