Day of Community Service

Come join the residents of Davis, Woodland, Dixon and Winters for our Day of Community Service! This year each community will host its own set of service projects--see the details below. The big day is Saturday April 26th. All are invited-- we hope to see you there!

Woodland residents will be cleaning and restoring sections of the Woodland Cemetery. Plan to meet at the Cemetery at 8:00 am with gardening gloves and tools. A BBQ picnic will begin at 12:00 pm at Crawford Park.

Davis residents will be tackling a number of projects throughout the city including gardening at the CHOC Homestead, storm drain marking, relabeling recycling carts, and performing landscaping and general maintenance at the Veterans Memorial Center and the Davis Senior Citizens Center. Plan to meet at 8:00 am at Community Park. Volunteers will disperse from there to the various project sites and meet back at Community Park at 11:30 am for a community BBQ!

Dixon residents will engage in various painting projects at Dixon Hall Park including painting the concession stand, restrooms, curbs, basketball courts, signs and fences. They will also be cleaning and restoring sections of the BMX park. Plan to meet at the Park at 8:00 am. The projects will be followed by a BBQ around 11:30 am.

Winters residents will be assisting in various capacities with the Winters Youth Day. They will help with the morning parade, various childrens' games and with other tasks as needed. Volunteers should plan to meet at various locations throughout the day-- more details to come!
