Applebee's Tip-A-Cop

June 9, 2009

The annual Applebee's Tip-A-Cop is by far the largest means of raising money for the Special Olympics Torch Run. Last year, the Woodland Police Department had two shifts of uniformed employees that partnered with an Applebee’s server to deliver food, refill drinks, and raise donations. Other agencies who have also participated in the past are the CHP and Yolo County Sheriff’s Department.

This is a fun event where the community can raise money to help kids experience the fun of Special Olympics. Officers will be wearing their uniforms while they serve. If you’re looking for some lunch (or dinner) plans today, come on out to Applebee’s to join in the fun and contribute to an important and worthy organization.

When: Tuesday, Jun 9th, 2009
