Dial Back the Clock and Fire Prevention Safety Tips

October 31, 2014

Dial back the clock - daylight saving’s ends on Sunday, Nov. 2nd.

With shorter days, evaluate your need of a night light between your bedroom and bathroom. Cooler temperatures and moisture from fog and rain mean your floor could become slick and present a fall or trip hazard. Think of mats to dry your feet.

Smoke alarms are a key part of a home fire escape plan. When there is a fire, smoke spreads fast. Working smoke alarms give you early warning so you can get outside quickly.

Test all smoke alarms at least once a month. Press the test button to be sure the alarm is working.

Oh and remember to change your smoke alarm batteries at least once a year!
