Please note the Woodland Police Department Policy Manual is a living document and is subject to regular review, revisions, and updates based on legislative changes, case law, and identified best practices. The current online version of the Policy Manual posted here will be reviewed annually to ensure any revisions and updates from the previous year are contained in the online version.

Woodland Police Department Training Outlines

The Woodland Police Department has several training outlines used for in-house training. The California Peace Officer and Standards and Training (POST) maintains a list of the Department's approved training course outlines. The list can be viewed by visiting: https://opendata.post.ca.gov/. To access it, follow the following steps:

  1. On the POST Open Data webpage, type "Woodland Police Department" into the Presenter Name box under Course Search. 
  2. The site will display all the search results.  Click on the + sign for the course to access the course outline.

The policy of the Woodland Police Department is to administer a training program that will provide for the professional development of its personnel.  By doing so, the Police Department will ensure its personnel possesses the skills necessary to provide a professional level of service that meets the needs of the community, the department, and the individual.
