Instructions for Crime Mapping

View the Woodland CrimeMapping Site.

After choosing on the URL provided, a map of Woodland will appear indicating all the crime activity for the past 5 days. The data that appears are actual crimes for which police reports were written. It does not include calls for service where no police report was written.

If you select one of the individual icons that appear, it will reveal the type of crime, the general location, the date and time of occurrence and the police case number. You can also check one or all of the crime types on a list provided above the map by checking the appropriate box. Each crime type checked will appear on the map corresponding to the specific icon. You can also use mini-icons to reduce the clutter on the page.

The crime statistics are updated every morning at 3 a.m. for the previous day's crimes. You can control the date range of your search from 1 day or go back up to 30 days.

You can zoom in or out using the provided tools.

You can also view and print a report of the crimes you have selected or the map itself for your own purposes. The report that appears only lists a brief summary of the crime types that you have chosen to view. It is not an actual police report.

There are certain crimes that are not listed on these pages because the release of the details of the crimes may compromise the on-going investigation. Of the crimes listed, only a limited amount of details are released on each crime and we do not release the exact address, names of victims, or any suspect information.

If you require a copy of a specific report, the report will be released to you for a fee. Please contact the Woodland Police Department at 530-661-7800.
