Annual Awards

The City Council of the City of Woodland annually presents Community Service Awards, the City's highest honor, to select individuals with a significant record of serving and supporting the Woodland community. Individuals and groups selected to receive this prestigious award make significant contributions to the community through their time, actions and dedication. Candidates for the community service award fulfill most of the following criteria:

• Selfless service to the community
• Demonstration of community leadership
• Dependability in completing assignments
• Initiate or support an important ongoing project or program in the community
• Interest in a variety of volunteer activities

Candidates demonstrate a passion for helping others in their community, are a role model for compassion and service, and dedicate their time to an organization or a variety of community service activities in one year.  

Nominations

Nominations for Community Service Award Candidates are taken throughout the year by submitting a completed Suggested Candidate Form (PDF) and turned into the Secretary to the City Manager at:

Nominations to be considered for the 2019 Community Service Award are due by Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Reconocimientos Anuales

El Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Woodland presenta anualmente los Reconocimientos de Servicio Comunitario, el honor más alto de la Ciudad, para seleccionar individuos con un registro significativo de servicio y apoyo a la comunidad de Woodland. Las personas y los grupos seleccionados para recibir este prestigioso reconocimiento hacen contribuciones significativas a la comunidad a través de su tiempo, acciones y dedicación. Los candidatos para el premio de servicio a la comunidad cumplen la mayoría de los siguientes requisitos:

•    Servicio desinteresado a la comunidad

•    Demostración de liderazgo comunitario

•    Confiabilidad en completar servicio

•    Inicia o apoya un proyecto importante o programa en curso en la comunidad

•    Interés en una variedad de actividades de servicio voluntario

Los candidatos demuestran una pasión por ayudar a otros en su comunidad, son un modelo a seguir para el servicio mostrando compasión, y dedican su tiempo a una organización o una variedad de actividades de servicio comunitario.

Las nominaciones para los Candidatos al Reconocimiento al Servicio Comunitario se toman a lo largo del año mediante la presentación de un Formulario de Candidato Sugerido (PDF) completado y se entregan a la Secretaria de Administración de la Ciudad en:
