PRESS RELEASE
City of Woodland
300 First Street
On November 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall an open house public outreach meeting will be held for the Woodland Parkway Safe Routes to School and Connectivity Study. This study is exploring bicycle and pedestrian connectivity potential along the south edge of town from CR98 to Matmor Road, along Matmor to Gibson and along Gibson across SR113.
This open house format which will encourage one-on-one conversations and is intended to be more engaging than traditional presentation style workshops. The public will learn about the project through different stations staffed by the City’s consultant, Alta, and City staff. The stations will include presentation boards with graphics illustrating the existing conditions and proposed design alternatives. Participants will be asked to provide feedback at each station.
In addition to the open house, and for those who may be unable to attend, the City has established an online platform to collect feedback about the project during this phase of outreach. The online platform can be accessed with this link https://woodlandsrts.altaplanning.cloud/.
This is the second public meeting for the project. The first outreach meeting was held August 10th, where the project team set up a booth at the Farmer’s Market. At the booth, information boards were shared with, and feedback was obtained from, our community on the Safe Routes to School Connectivity Study.
