Time to Book It Back to the Library (If You’ve Got an Appointment, That Is!)
The Woodland Public Library is thrilled to announce its reopening on Monday, November 9. The library will be following the next step in its phased reopening plan: limited hours and limited services. Reopening and reintroducing services has been carefully planned using health and science-based research to help guide all decisions.
The initial phase will offer free appointments available M/T 9a-3p, W/Th 12-6, Fri 12-4, and Sat 9-1. Book an appointment here!
The Library will be open for browsing, however the current safety recommendations are to limit time and to stay socially distanced, especially inside buildings. The library’s public spaces will have limited capacities. Furniture, tables, and seating have been removed to increase the amount of space available for proper social distancing. The elevator is limited to one person/family at a time. Visitors must enter through the North Street parking lot accessible entrance. The First Street entrance will remain closed to the public to accommodate Curbside Pickup. The library appreciates the community’s understanding and patience as we navigate reopening with the following limited services. Additional services will be added as the library is able.
Appointments are for 45 minutes, limited to one per patron per day. Patrons can make appointments to browse and check out in person or to use the computers.
Curbside service will continue to be provided for those who prefer picking up their materials outside of the library. Curbside service is available M/T 9a-2p, W/Th 1p-6p, and Sat 9-1p, no appointment necessary.
Square One will be open by appointment only beginning Monday, November 16 for current Square One patrons M/T 2p-7p, W/Th 9a-2p, and Saturday 10a-3p.
Appointments can be made on our website or over the phone (530-661-5980 for the library, 530-661-5989 for Square One).
In-person programs or the use of meeting rooms will remain suspended at this time. However, virtual programs will continue to be added to the Library’s Facebook and YouTube accounts. Digital resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines and are always available through the Library’s website 24/7 through services like OverDrive, RBdigital, and Tumblebooks.
