Organics Recycling

Did you know you can place the following items in your organics cart (brown lid) to be composted?

  • Food Scraps: fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, bones, egg shells, shellfish

  • Food-Soiled Paper: paper towels, greasy pizza boxes, napkins, paper cups, paper plates, tea bags, milk cartons (without plastic spout), coffee filters

  • Yard Trimmings: grass, leaves, non-hazardous wood waste, palm fronds, tree limbs (less than 5 feet long), weeds, plant material

  • Compostable Packaging: paper and cardboard take-out boxes, BPI Certified compostable packaging
Avoid contamination by keeping plastics and glass out of the organics carts. Learn more about organics recycling and how to keep your organics cart clean at CityofWoodland.org/Organics.
